CGL Cimmarian Events are a place where members can create curated experiences for fellow members. Let's start with the base rules and please note that events are member created and not Cimmarian as an entity.
Rules
- No advertisements / Content plugs / External calls to action. Many users struggle to understand what some of these mean this simply means don't post anything that advertises things Twitch, Socials, Other Discord Servers, Action members to sign up or join other areas. We are not a place to be utilized for your free ads or content plugs.
- Keep is clean. We don't support NSFW internally so if your event is adult only content it's best not to make an event for it.
- Information is king, Tell Cimmarian in the description your plans and what is expected of those who attend. This will help with misunderstandings or complications.
- All breaking of CGL Cimmarian rules are to be banned.
- You are held accountable for your event not Cimmarian. We try our best to keep an eye out on what is being posted but if you abuse the system or members you abused the rules.
- Feel free to open support tickets in the discord if you have questions about events.
How To Make An Events
- Join Tier 2 Membership or rank up to Diamond Rank in the discord server.
- Visit the event create page and sign in Create an event here
- Add a title, start time, duraction and descriptionÂ
- Add a location, this can be an IRL place as well but we will keep this example inside the discord. So if you wanted to play a game we support you can use their join to create channel if we don't support you can utilize our Just Chatting channels
- Now that you are done the main event you can now tweak some settings! first up we have RSVP where you can change the emoji / name and reminders of your event. We have defaults set so you never have to change them if you want to get through most of this quickly.Â
- Next up is Notifications, Again we have defaults set but you can add some users if it is allowing add some when event starts if you want "not manditory" to change any of this.Â
- Appearance is straight forward you can change the color of the events side bar and add a image URL to sprinkle some flare just remember to avoid any content / streamer banners or advertisement when picking your image. You can hide attendee names but this is often not needed.Â
- In the attendees section you can set more imporant features such as Role Restriction (Not needed for most cases) Add roles when the event starts (This may be a bonus feature later to allow event channels to be used) Finally close attending early if you want more prep time with who has said they are attending.Â
- Integration is how we hook into Discord with this event system. You don't need to change anything here as it just adds your event to discord's events system. If you wish you can change the image if permitted.Â
- Repeat is simple it's for events that repeat so if you don't wish to host an event over and over don't turn this feature on.Â
- After doing a double check on your event settings and details you can now hit CREATE EVENT and you are done!Â
