Adjustments to new user security and abilities

As like anything new it needs some adjustments to allow for better usage this being said try to note that the forum does support other features like wiki style posts instead of normal posting. So keep this in mind if you try to edit old posts. These types of options are set to keep things clear and clean instead of misleading when re-visited etc.
Forum Changes
S3 bucket and Cloudfront CDN
For those who don't know S3 is a content bucket this means when you upload something to the forum it goes to our server bucket instead of the direct server. This allows for after uploads and downloads especailly when given a location which is when the CDN takes over to allow you to see files at a faster rate.

Edit times
This seems to confuse users why you "Can't" edit your own post after a certain amount of time. The purpose of this is to have clarity and moderation. So if someone edit their post after it says get reported we would need to pull up an older post. Or maybe it's a well trusted post and their account is used to edit links or upload malicious files. Anything can happen and editing the same first post every week is not it's purpose and in the future we may allow payed users to edit with a much larger window.
- You can edit your post as a new user for 48 hours instead of 24 hours now
- After trust level 2 and above is earned you can edit your posts within 30 days
- Future supportive users (payed) will get 1 year+ edits
Local Language
Though we don't support communication outside English we do however attempt to aupport UI language. When you are outside an English speaking country you can set your language to be in your native language. Note that this is to help you navigate not to make or speak non-english in the forum.

Title Length
Title Length is a confusing situation as the idea is to provide information in your title but not make it nonesense. This have been edited to let users make smaller titles if they just want to share without the need to type a sentence as it's title

Max consecutive replies
This might seem counter social but the idea here is to negate spam and knee jerk hate replies. Many users might want to reply with .gif or one word even just plain insults which is normal for comment sections or chat rooms. This we want to try and avoid so the limit will stay but will be made larger.
Note: These are replies back to back and is not applied to the topic owner.
- Consecutive replies limited set from 3 to 5
Max links, Media and Attachments
New users will be given a max links posted per topic creation or reply. This is to help limit advertisements, spam and clutter. No one wants to see a wall of .gifs, twitch clips etc showing the same things over and over especailly if in the nature of a spam so this is created to help limit this.

File size cap
As like any indie community and creator management of servers adds up. So as much as I would love to provide a larger file size to compete with things like Discord Nitro etc. I will be limiting file size to 10mb for the time being with direct uploads.

Security limits set lower
This sounds bad but this is not about passwords etc. This is about posting. Some users copy paste or drag and drop quickly causing the automation to think they were spamming or a bot. This edit is to make it so it's less likely the automation will catch you as a bad actor while the community grows.
- Fast typing set from 3 seconds to 1 second
- Silence user set to Medium instead of High
Header and Navigation
The forum is set to show categories first and the latest topics, The drop down is now set to show more suggestions when typing to help you see what you might be looking for.
- When searching or typing in the categories / tags it will now suggest up to 10 already existing to help you utilize the proper posting locations.
Tags limit and Creation
Tags are a mess on most platforms and it's hard to maintain them without limits. Their purpose is to help you organize what you post and to help others find this. For example you can post about a RPG build and utilize tags like Tank, DPS, Solo Build, Game Name. This will help users to find Tank builds under a RPG game they like to play and even talk to you about your build.

Email Digest
This is just an email that is sent out to help users know what is being talked about or if anyone is talking in their favourite topics etc. This has been moved from weekly to monthly to help avoid spaming users.

Can I play with you?
Unless instructed I am playing with members, I don't plan on playing regularly with others unless it's planned or an event. This helps keep things clean and I can focus on the game while I talk to chat. If we do play there is a chance we won't be in voice chat together. It is what it is.
When do you plan on streaming?
This could be mornings or nights, I do plan on breaks inbetween streams as long hours and limited external work time is a classic move to stream to 0-1 viewers hoping someone will just magically know who I am. So for now let's figure out what works together.
Will you be streaming events?
Yes and No, I don't mind streaming them but it's more of a community enjoyment so I want to keep those events open for everyone to enjoy instead of forcing stream / platform rules. If you stream during them please turn on push to talk and be polite to members of my community Cimmarian.

There may have been some wondering what LFG means or what this section is for? This is an update to help cover this and show you the benefits.
LFG was added to Cimmarian to help gamers alike to find fellow folks to play with and talk within their favourite genres!
A prime usage that helps is directly tagging Genres when you want to find a group to play with or just want to possibly meet someone new while you game.

If you don't have your game being tracked this is on your end you need to make sure your server privacy settings are set to show your activity and also your personal Discord settings must be set to show activity. (Console players need to link their consoles)
