Welcome Cimmarian we continue to grow! Let's start August off with the new Season of Cimmarian Rank!
Cimmarian Ranks | Season 4
Season 4 will reset everyones base rank but won't reset your streak, This means if you are consistent you will rank up really fast. This season will come with a quest system that will allow for an easier way to rank up without the need to rely on others to be in a VC with you etc.

Survival Games Event Kick Off | Green Hell
Kicking off our new Survival Games event will be Green Hell currently 75% off!
This event will be handled a bit differently due to the nature of Survival games they are prone to time consumption so if a server is left up many players are left behind as they must attend to life outside the game.
These events will only have active games while the host of the server is online. So this should help limit try hards or players with a lot of time from just charging ahead without consideration for others.
Finally if the game is left incomplete that game will be played again on the next event from where we left off until it's finished if the game being played has an end game.

These LFG style events are special as they allow users to work together to find groups and ping each other to allow them to have knowledge of up coming or current games to play.

You will be able to create Looking For Group lobbies where this will ping users who love these genres.
You will get full control on getting RSVP, Notrifications (With restrictions to just game genre) and Appearance
Key importance is game genre notifications. How will someone know if there is a lobby to join or event?
Everyone will need roles! Get them early before release
Make sure to get to channels and roles if you want notifications about new lobbies opening up. If you not sure what you like try to think of the main games you currently play. You can add and remove roles at anytime so don't worry you won't be stuck with them if you decide you no longer want one.

VRChat has added the ability to create events and ours are up and live. If you want to see them yourself and where to find them. They work almost identical to our calendar.

Want to add events yourself? They are coming to Discord but if you are a Tier 2 VRChat Member or Cimmarian.com Member you can put up events. Otherwise the whole community will be able to join any event.

Maybe you've seen them maybe you have not. Users and Bots who slide in your DMs
They have several strategies but they often join just to spam users DMs with "deals" about art (99% a scam).
What have I done to stop this?
Stopping it is not 100% proactive and most users want you to play Discord's user filter (pick who is naughty and who is nice). This is not really fair to put on Cimmarian as a community or it's Moderation.
So the route taken after many considerations is simply stopping DMs being open. You might ask "Wait you are controling who we can talk to!?" Nope.
See how this system works is we stop public and non-friend DMs
"Only bots, members who have already exchanged or are friends and staff will be able to receive DMs"
This beats systems like a Capcha as this leads to other issues from disability or lack of knowledge knowing how to get past a Capcha or maybe it just fails.
This being said your DMs are still your responsibility (Not Moderation or Cimmarian) so DMing users and sending or recieveing information is a choice that Cimmarian is not making for you so please take that into consideration when accepting friend requests from anyone you don't know.
