I am always trying to find ways for users to hang out but as we know it's a challenge as everyone is different and pleasing everyone is an impossible task.
This being said as of recent we started making events that were role locked for reminders but not for people able to attend. (VRChat)
This has many issues and one I never liked are the "let me in" types who don't actively take part in the community. Another issue is time zones and finally those who don't have the time to gain game roles but don't wish to subscribe, nitro boost or twitch sub (Never obligated).
So to balance this my theory on the best possible solution is have it open to LFG as a whole allowing anyone with a game role to take part even while the event is active. Attending the events gives you a reminder and priority (Game suggestions, Open LFG channel etc.) you can join late without attending as a supporter or game role user. Alloting a time period users can make a open LFG others to play if they attend. (Cimmarian.com Memberships can always make LFG channels)
Again this is not perfect as users will see "Fighting Games" and show up for Smash Bros but everyone is playing Street Fighter. Or it might land on a bad time frame.
So please note if you don't take part in open communication or forming bonds with community members no one owes you attention if you are actively complaining. Please be understanding if your favourite game is never on the list since you never seem to be active or users seem distant because you want things done your way simply because it's best for you.
