Splatoon 2 is a great game it really is. The problems it has are more so traditionally problems Nintendo is always pushing on their audiences known as “Whatever they want” like mobile only voice communication.

  • Fun to play
  • Lots to collect
  • Co-op

  • Terrible Reporting System
  • Splatfest is limited to a few days
  • Ranks are based on mode

What Gamers Thought

  1. I love this game! It is frustrating going in without the proper use of tutorial and test options of weapons, but it is a fun game for both younger and older audiences. Its easy to lose track of time playing, however its good to note that all gamemodes and maps are always on a 2 hour rotation, excluding the Splatfest. The main complaints id say are the common griefer in games, regardless of mode, that make you have to use the Nintendo Switch App just to report. Also, if you try to block or add a friend during game sessions or lobbies from the Switch Home page, you tend to get kicked out of your lobby going back ingame. ONE BIG GLARING ISSUE from the game itself is that it does not outright teach you about the seasnail rewards from participating in Splatfests. Those rewards are how you make the game competitive, as it is the only way ingame that you can boost your gear slots and get ‘PERFECT GEAR’ that effectively boost that particular ability. Unless you are ungodly at this game, its very hard ranking up without taking advantage of the reward system. Storymode is pretty bland in terms of narrative. There is alot of replay on each level since you can get rewards for completing all levels with a certain weapon.
