And i instantly fell in love with the game. It also has the fingerprints of David Brevik, the father of Diablo. I was an mmo arpg, basically a Marvel themed diablo style mmorpg. There was no character creation like in DC universe, because in Marvel Heroes you played as one of the known and beloved or hated Hero/Villain of the Marvel Universe. At the start you could pick 1 of the few starter heroes, Like Black Widow, Dare Devil, Cyclops, etc. and later on you could unlock others simply by playing the game or spending money. Yes it had MTX, since it was a f2p game. In the end the game had around 50ish Heroes/Villains in the game and different costumes for each of them. I also liked that whenever a new Marvel movie got released, they added the movie costumes. Just 1 example, when Guardians of the Galaxy came out, both Starlord and Rocket got their costumes/skins from the movie. Sadly the game got shut down after the investors (including Disney and mainly Disney) pulled the plug. Later there were hopes that the game might return after Trion Worlds acquired all of Gazillions (dev and publisher of Marvel Heroes) assets, but that restart never happened, since not long after the acquisition, Trion Worlds got sold to Gamigo Group. So now its up to Gamigo, to sign a contract with Disney. Question is, does Disney has interest in doing so, does Gamigo want to reboot Marvel Heroes? Nobody knows.
